Chengdu has heavy rainfall in July. Do I need to take raincoat or umbrella? If it rains does it mean we will not be able to carry on with the plans??

I suggest you buy raincoat or umbrella in China, which are all cheap and convenient. Usually the travel plan won’t be affected by rainfall.
