Hi there, my friend and I are arriving shanghai about 300 in the afternon we want to go to beijing should we go during the day to see the country or is it best to travel on
a sleeper and arrive in the morning how long of a ride and how much in us$ Thanx Su Su

I think taking the overnight soft sleeper train is the better choice. You can save one night hotel rate and leave more daytime to see the country. The first class seat in the train of shanghai-Beijing is CNY542 and CNY452 for the second calss in the Multiple Unit trains.
