About:Hainan Travel

We are visiting Haikou and Sanya next month, dont read Chinese but speak Hainanese. Would that be a problem with getting around, buying items, ordering food and in hotels? Can we book a hotel when we arrive at Sanya or is it better to book the hotel b4 we arrive? Are there lots of taxi at the Haikou airport or do we have to book one in advance? Do the taxi drivers speak Hainanese? Looking fwd to getting some answers to our queries.

Hi, please write down your destinations in Chinese and show it to the drivers, it will be no problem. Actually, most of the drivers are from other places, so they could understand Mandarin well but not Hainanese. There are so many western travelers visit Sanya throughout a year, so the drivers, waiters and shoppers could communicate with travelers easily, although they know a little English. And, the staffs in star-rated hotels could speak English well, so please take it easy~

Please book your hotel in advance since Oct is a peak travel season in Sanya. But, you could hire a taxi easily at Haikou Airport~
