About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I am visiting my girlfriend in China who is studying abroad there for 4 months and I am visintg there for 6 days Nov 23 - 29 from Los angeles, California to Shanghai Pudong and we plan on visiting Hong Kong. Do I need a visa or a double entry visa to make this happen?

you just need a single entry China L tourist visa for your trip to mainland China.
Americans are exempt of visa to Hk for 90 days.
