About:Summer Palace

We leave Beijing Sep. 25 and we won't be there when Line 4 becomes operational. Other than taking a taxi, what is the fastest way to go to Summer Palace from Tiananmen? If through subway or bus, how long will the trip to Summer Palace take? Thank you.

Hi, you can first take Subway Line 1 from Tian'anmen East to Gongzhufen (passing 7 stops) and then take Yuntong 108 Bus from Gongzhufenbei to Xiyuan (passing 13 stops). Now you reach Summer Palace.
