About:Lantau Island

I will be coming to HK for vacation. If I stay in Lantau Island, can I go out for night life? How late does the ferries run? Are there ferries to Tsim Sha Tsui or Central? Besides Ferries, is there taxis or buses, MTR etc. connecting Lantau to rest of HK or Kowloon? Please advise. Thank you.

night life in lantau is not as extravagant as in kowloon and victoria isalnd( main island). buses usually run on limited schedule since life in lantau is a bit slower then the main islands. MTR connected the airport runs late. go to hotels and ask the conceige or go to HK tourist association( there is an office in TsimShaTsui( next to the Star ferry).that office is very helpful to tourists. I will be going to HK next week and stay at Novotel Citygate. I know it connects to an outlet mall and the Metro station. Any recommendation of one day excursion on Lantau?
