About:Changsha Railway Station

Please help... I need advice and comments on my trip to HK in Oct.1

I never been in HK before. I going to HK with 2 of my friend but we don't how to get from Airport to the hotel. I'm stay at The Cityview but I don't how to get there and don't have spent alot of money. How many will cost us to take the Taxi or is there a better way to get there? Please advice.

When you arrive at the airport, please take the bus A21 (33Hk$/person) at the Airport Ground Transportation Center and get off at the 9th station called Man Ming Lane, Nathan Road. Then, you could walk to the hotel in 5 minutes.
If you take a taxi, the fare is around 280HK$.

Thanks, can I use Airport Express to get to the hotel? Do I have to buy the Octopus Card?

Yes, you could take the Airport Express and get off at Kowloon. Then, take the free shuttle bus K5 which could drive you to the hotel directly. The ticket fare is 90HK$/person and could be purchased by cash. If you will stay in Hk for a little long time, suggested that you buy an Octopus Card which could save some money on transportation.

Can you get a refund if you can't finish the money in your octopus card?

Yes, the deposite and balance in your card cound be refunded when you leave HK. Please note that the two types of the Airport Express Octipus Cards-220HK$ and 300Hk$ could only get back the deposite (50HK$).

Thanks, 1 more thing I will be arrive at the airport at 5:30am, do you know the service desk are open for busines like exchange the US dollar to hk dollar? and also I need to buy a sims card for my phone where can I get it? at the airport or where?

For the matter of changing money, Travelex in the ariport is open 6:30 am. There are 24hours ATM of Citibank, Standard Chartered, HSBC, Bank of China and China Construction Bank. As to sim card, I am afraid not at that time. You can buy the card in 7-11 Store in the city, many convenient stores has phone card to sell.
