I live in canada toronto. recently, i lost my china passport. i went to report to the police station but they said i need the passport number before reporting. but the passport is lost, where can i get the number from? should i call the china embassy of toronto and what is the phone number there? please help and thanks in advance.

You should contact the canadian embassy in China to get your passport number, you applyied for the visa from them, right?
