Only Chinese Yuan can be accepted in most restaurants and shopping malls. I suggest you bring your major credit cards, traveler's check and a small amount of cash. Most hotels and shops in major cities accept most international credit cards. You can exchange your currency and travelers check at the banks, banks' cash centers at major airports and hotels.
