About:China Train

I heard it's quite an experience to travel by train in China. I was going to book a plane ticket from Qingdao to Beijing, but decided to check on the trains. I've been told that there were fast trains, but couldn't find any. The next option was a night train that takes about 11 hours. I was thinking of getting one of those compartments with four beds in them. Is it a good idea? Is it at least somewhat comfortable?
Can you advise!?
Thanks

Hello, Mr. Yazz, it is quite a good idea to take a train instead of the flight if you never experience that before in China. Actually, there are many fast trains, or, the so-called D-prefaced trains between Qingdao and Beijing, say, D60, D58, D62, D54, D52, D56, which will take about 6 hours. For the night train, there are two, K710/ K711 1320/0217, T26 2015/0538. Considering the time schedule, the latter is better. You are suggested to reserve the train tickets about 10 days before your departure if you finalized. Of course, the train is not comfortable compared with the flight. Hope it helps.
