How far is Taiyuan from the Great Wall of China? Are there any touristic sections of the Wall close to the city, or are they all close to Beijing?

There are bullet trains from Taiyuan to Beijing, only need no more than 3.5 hours. Then take Bus 83 to Deshengmen to find Bus 919 which are running to Badaling Great Wall directly. If you take train to Beijing Railway Station, take subway to Jishuitan Station then walk a little to find Bus 919 station.
