About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hi, I'm Malaysian holding student pass in Singapore and would like to bring my grandfather who is Malaysian, staying in Malaysia to Beijing next week. We are planning to depart from Singapore. Can my grandfather get a China visa in Singapore with me? or should he do it in Malaysia? If we depart on Friday, is it in time if we apply on Monday? Thanks! In need of urgent reply as I tried calling the numbers given but no one answered.
