About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I am a Thai student conducting a research work in Japan for 2 months and will go back to Thailand in Oct 5. I got a UNESCO/China fellowship for researching in China for 10 months, and want to apply for X visa. I plan to apply for a visa in Thailand on 6-7 Oct., unfortunately, it is Chinese national holidays (Oct 1-8) and the Embassy will be closed.

Is it possible to apply for X visa in Tokyo?. The original document that I have to submit:

1. Admission notice
2. JW201 form
3. Academic diplomas (I have only in Thai version)
4. Physical Examination Record for Foreigners
5. Blood test report
6. Eight passport-size photographs

Please let me know. Thank you very much

You can apply for the Chian X student visa in Tokyo, and you also have to provide the following documents besides the above you listed.
a. A valid passport with enough blank pages.
b. A completely fulfilled visa application form.
c. A valid entry record to Japan from the Japanese authorities.
BTW, one recently taken, bareheaded, full-faced photo is enough.
