About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

I am in the hope of participating 5th IUPAC international conference on novel material and their synthesis. due to be held in fudan university, Shanhai from 18-22 october 2009. would you please kindly inform me how to proceed with appling for the VISA

You have to ask the conference organizer to provide you an invitation letter firstly, and then go to the China embassy in Sri Lanka to apply for a F visa with the following documents:
A. One completed visa application form;
B. One recent passport sized photo;
C. A valid original passport with blank pages.
D. the invitation letter.
E.A Visa Notification Form issued by Chinese authorized unit.
F.Round-trip air ticket.
G.Hotel reservation.
