About:Chinese Embassy in Pakistan

I am a PhD student at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Pakistan. I have to present a research paper at a conference in Beijing from 12-14 October,2009. i have the sponsorship letter from my University and the Invitation Letter from the conference organizers.The visa notice sheet has been sent to me by Chinese authorities through mail and will reach me in a day or two.
my queries are...
1: Do i need to show the bank statement as well.
2: HOW MUCH TIME WILL THE EMBASSY TAKE TO PROCESS MY VISA ?
kindly tell me so that i can proceed as soon as i get the Visa Notice Sheet.

1.The China embassy may requires your bank statement, you'd better get ready for it.
2. it ususally takes 4 working days, but you may request the express service if you are under tight schedule.

Hi Akhlaq,

I wanted to ask you about the visa notice sheet, i am planing to visit china on invitation by a professor in chinese univeristy and i have been asked by chinese consulate in sydeny for original visa notice sheet and it seems that people in chinese university has no idea of where to get the sheet, can you let me know who issues the visa notice sheet in beijing, many thanks :)

Visa Notice Form can be obtained through application from the relevant government offices (such as Municipal or Provincial Foreign Affairs Office (FAO), Education Bureau, Foreign Trade & Commerce Bureau, etc. in China) authorized by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
