If we go china as a group with China's university invatation letters,can we apply a group visa for all of my groupmates?

As far as I know, over 6 China L tourist visa applicants can apply for group visa, but I'm not sure whether there is group visa for China student visa. You can confirm it with the Chian emabssy in Malaysia.
