Hi I would like to know whether people in Dalian celebrate 1 Jan New Year Day. Do you all have countdown party at shopping centers or like in New York, we have the Times Square Countdown party. Do you all have all these?

Seems seldome large-scale countdown party is held on Jan 1. This is usually held in the last day of every year in the Chinese lunar calender, namely the New Year's Eve during the Spring Festival.
