I would like to know where do ride from shanghai to the great wall of china?

Go to one of Shanghai Airports, take flight from Shanghai to Beijing and then go from Beijing aiport to the Great Wall.

I think u can find some travel agencies where there are one-day tours available...From my experience,1 day is far from enough for a tour around Beijing...but you can come again...there are many beautiful attractions up there....
