About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Hello Mr Jones here.
It appears that I shall have about 26 hours in transit in Shanghai (if my plane is on time) on my way back from Auckland. As a UK passport holder, could you please advise me on how I might obtain a transit visa for this period? Will the same transit visa allow me to leave the airport?
Thank you.

Mr. Jones, you just need a China Transit Visa for entering and leaving the airport in Shanghai. You can go out of the airport to visit Shanghai before flying to London.
