About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

I am a New Zealander living in Australia.
My Australian friend and I are visiting my brother in Hong Kong and would like to go into China for a day to shop.
Do we need visas in New Zealand and Australian passports and if so, how long do they take to arrange from Sydney?
Many thanks
Mrs Savill (Sydney)

You need a visa to enter mainland China, and it usually takes 4 working days for the Chian emabssy to issue a visa, but you can use the expedited service. You can lodged at the counter by themselves between 9:00am and 9:30am can pick up between 11:30am and 12:00pm in the same morning, but you have to pay additional fees for the special service.
