About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Dear sir/Madam
i intend to visit Hong kong as i have applied for PR of Australia and i am on bridging visa. i am currently living in Melbourne. Do i need to apply for hong kong visa to chinese embassy as i hold pakistani passport

You are right you have to apply for a Hk visa from the consulate-general of PRC in Melbourne, since you hold a pakistan passport.
