About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Hi, I am a student currently studying at Melbourne.
I planned to visit Shanghai end of the year.
But the problem is I don't know whether I will be flying to Shanghai from Melbourne or that I could go back on a holiday first at Malaysia and fly to Shanghai from there.

How will this affect my Visa Application?

The kay point is that the Consulate-general of China in Melbourne may not grant the visa for you without the round-way air tickets to for your Chna trip.
