Hello,

Thank you for very much for posting this useful, helpful information about Changde...my daughter and I will be visiting there in July 2010, when we travel back to China where she was born. Changde is her home city and we will certainly spend some part of our trip there. In addition to some time within the city, I am most excited to also visit places of nature such as Taohuayuan, and possibly even travel to Zhangjiajie--if we have time and if it is not too far and too difficult for us to arrange the trip from Changde (our time will be somewhat limited, unfortunately). We like the outdoors very much--last summer and this, we spent our vacation time in several USA National Parks (Shenandoah in Virginia and then Olympic and Mt. Rainier in Washington state). I think your area of China will be at least as beautiful!!!

Any other information you might be able to share with us about this city/area and what is special (to you) about it would be most appreciated. My daughter, Kaydi, now almost 10, will be very excited to visit this part of China, her original "home".
