Sources from Fuzhou Railway Station is that a direct express train Z116 running on the routes Fuzhou to Shanghai will be put into service as of August 30, 2009. The trains are sleepers including hard sleepers, soft sleepers and deluxe soft sleepers. The Z116 express trains will leave from Fuzhou at 19:36, and will arrive at the Shanghai South Railway Station at 06:35 next morning. The journey time is only about 11 hours. The Z115 trains will leave from Shanghai at 19:52 and arrive in Fuzhou at 06:41. The whole journey takes 10 hours 49 minutes, which shortens the journey time by 6 hours than that of taking K163. The train ticket prices are set at CNY239 for lower bunk of hard sleepers, CNY 365 for lower bunk of soft sleepers.
