About:xa19

We are flying on Dec. 18 to the Phils. Our airlines is Turkish airways.Frankfurt to Istanbul, then Istanbul to Hongkong, then Cebu Pacific Airways to Manila.I was told, in order not to pass by HK immigration, to bring our luggages to a transfer desk and they will fwd them to Cebu Airlines. What about the boarding passes for Cebu Pacific could we also get that from the Transfer Desk in Hongkong..or better would it be possible to get the boarding passes from Frankfurt already?

If you don't have an onward boarding pass, you have to follow the airport sign to transfers area E1, E2 or W1 for check-in prcedures. Then, follow the sign to departures level for boarding gatea and go through security screening. But if you have an onward boarding pass in advance, you could go to the departure leavel directly.

Are you sure that it is Cebu Airlines? It seems that this airlines doesn't have designated transfer desk in Hong Kong Airport. So, you'd better get the boarding pass in advance.

Mr. Shan thanks for the reply. The connecting flight to Manila from Hongkong is Cebu Pacific not Cebu Airlines. sorry for the little disprepancy.

What about the luggages..is a transfer desk a service of the airport or every airline has one..thanks so much!

Well, if you get a connect ticket from one airline, for example, from Turkish Airways, you could get the onward boarding pass to Manila when you take the flight from Frankfurt to Istanbul. If you don't have the boarding pass, please go to the transit area W1 where you could find Turkish Airways to proceed with transfer procedure. In this case, you don't have to go through HK immigration and check-in your luggage again.

If your tickets were purchased seperately from two airline companies, u have to claim your baggages from Turkish Airways, go through HK Immigration and then check-in Cebu Pacific Airways.

Anyway, please call your airline companie for details in advance.

I believe our tickets were bought separately but our agency, I will call him soon. I believe that going to the transfer desk of Cebu Pacific is the best solution to this.Right?

my greetings and thanks.

Mr. Shan..you might wonder why I'm informing. We wouldn't want to pass by immigration, that's the thing, we have 4 hours in-transit time, but we don't know what's gonna happen, if there won't be delays, and we are told that there's long line at the Immigration of Hongkong..so the best is to find a way to avoid the immigrations..

Hi Ms again, currently, I haven't found the transfer desk of Cebu Pacific Airways in HK Airport. So, I think you could contact with the Cebu Pacific Airway in advance. Usually, the airline company could inform the HK Airport to transfer your luggage when you arrive, so you don't have to go through the HK immigration. Just for your reference~

Dear Mr.Shan..thank you so much for the informations you've given us. This has given us a picture of what lays before. I read the "Terms and Conditions" of Cebu Pacifi and the section "Connecting Flights" says that they do not have this service. So I truly believe you wouldn't find a team from them in Transfer Desk section in Hongkong. However, I am most inclined and hopefully positive to go to Turkish Airways' Transfer Desk, as it is actually our main flight to go to Manila, and someone has tipped me that he did so for his transfer flight to Cebu Pacific. We will also get in touch with both companies and to our agencies next.
Are you working in Hongkong Airport? You seem to know the vicinity well.Maybe my family and I could look for you there as we have 4 hours in transit, well, if Turkish Airways wouldn't have delays..That would be December 19 and January 9.
My best regards!

Glad to know it helps some~ Hope you a nice trip! Well, I'm not in Hong Kong but mainland China. Since I would like to have a trip to HK with friends, I have done some preparation work on HK. It's really a surprise that it could help you, too:)
