About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

I hold an Australian passport and will be holidaying in Malaysia in Sept 2009. While in Malaysia I plan to make a short visit to either Guangzhou or Haikou. Is it possible to apply for a visa to enter China when I am in Kuala Lumpur? What is your recommendation? I cannot apply now because I have not finalised my travel plans.

Yes, you can apply for China visa in Kuala Lumpur, but the certainty is not 100%. Maybe the visa officer will ask you to provide valid visa or temporary residence permit of Malaysian because you apply for a visa in a third country.
