On 25 December this year I have a 14 hour stopover in Beijing.It that enough time to see The Great Wall and the Forbidden City? Given that I am on a budget what is the best way to get around?Also, what is the weather like around this time?Thanks

You will be very pressed for time if visit the Great Wall and Forbidden City in 14 hours. So you should choose one of them to make a visit. Since you said you will go to Beijing on 25 December, the weather around this time in Beijing is extrmely cold. So I suggest you to visit Forbidden City. Because it is located in the downtown Beijing and the transportation is very easy. You'd better visit Great Wall in spring and autumn, because it is unbearably cold on Great Wall in december.
