Understand that recently a typhoon arrived in taiwan in Aug 2008. If I am intending to travel to taipei in early Sept, will it be affected and still safe?

It is safe now, but the typhoon grealy impacted the south region of Taiwan. Taipei is not problem for visiting I segguest.
