About:China Train

I want to travel by train from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Is it necessary to get the tickets ahead of time? Is it correct that the ride is less than an hour? Thank you. Susan

Hi, Ms. Susan,

As far as I know, there are at least two trains available from Shanghai to Hangzhou every hour. So should be no problem for you to buy the train tickets on the spot. The train ride takes about 1.5 hour for D trains(Multiple Unit Trains) and 2 hours T trains (High-speed Trains) or K trains (Fast Trains).
