About:How to Take

I am planning to travel to Xiamen from Hong Kong in Sep. Is there a train service and what is the cost? How can I book the train tickets? How long is the journey?

Hi, Mrs. Wong,

Unfortunately, there is no direct train available from Hong Kong to Xiamen. I suggest you take flight instead.

If you prefer to take train, you may first arrive in Guangzhou and then take overnight soft sleeper tain K298/K300 19:08/08:48. There are many express trains from Hong Kong to Guangzhou everyday and the soft seat train charge is about ￥300.00 per ticket. For the train from Guangzhou to Xianmen, the soft sleeper trian charge is about ￥316.00 net per ticket.

You can take flight, boat or bus from Xiamen to Hong Kong, but there is no train available.
