About:Chinese Embassy in India

I am an indain citizen now in china on Z visa. we reached here on 2nd August 2009. me, my husband and my daughter all holds z visa. inorder to get residence visa, we applied for that. the problem is with my daughter's birth certificate. she is born in Sri Lanka. her birth certificate is issued from Indian embassy in Sri Lanka. but the chinese embassy authorities need a birth certificate issued from India inorder to get residence visa. Can her affidavit issued frm India will do instead of birth certificate? please tell a solution or else we have to go back. my daghter will loose her academic year.
