About:How do you get from Guangzhou airport to the city?

Hi,

Are you able to advise where the ticketing office is at Guangzhou East Railway Station? Or can we purchase tickets on the shuttle?

Do you mean where to buy the shuttle bus ticket? Usually, you could purchase the ticke when you get on the bus. If not, there will be driver to guide you where to buy the ticket. Very easy~

Also how far is the bus stop (line 6C) for the airport shuttle from the Guangzhou east railway station? Is it within walking distance?

Yes, within walking distance. You can find a bus station opposite the exit of the railway station. You can find airport bus there.
