Does anyone know when the consular section will be open / closed during the August Bon holidays?

Does anyone know when the consular section will be open / closed during the August Bon holidays?
Trying to phone is almost impossible!

The office hours of the Consular office of the China embassy in Japan is between 09:00 and 12:00 from Monday to Friday except the Chinese holidays and Japanese holidays(There isn't any Chinese holiday in August.).

If it's an official holiday in Japan and China, the embassy will be closed. And yes, don't even bother calling. However, they are quite fast in serving you. If you download and fill your application, have a passport size picture, return tickets and hotel reservation (letter from travel agent will do in cas e of e-ticket)and photocopy of your passport and alien registration card, then you will not wait more than 30 minutes. You pay the fees when you pick your visa in 4 days. You pay more for express 2 days pick-up.
