About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I am a British Citizen flying from Dubai UAE to Hanoi Vietnam on a return flight which has a stop over in Guangzhou China. My question is do I need a China visa for a 8 hour transit wait in China before my flight out to Vietnam? Please advise me.

You don't need a China Transit visa for 8 hours stopover, please remember thant you should remain in the transit area of the airport. Once you want to go out of the airport, you need a China Transit Visa.
