About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Hi
first of all a really helpfull website, with alot of replies.

I am plannig a back packing trip across asia and coming to hong kong. I have a friend in Foshan who i would like to meet. All this time i thought Foshan and Canton/guangzhou are same but recently found out they are not. As i am back packing i neeed the cheapest way of getting from Hong kong to Foshan.

I know this has been answered, but in one cas it was answered by private e-mail and in another case one person said direct train but another said they have to go through shenzen, which seems a mission. Can anyone just clarify how to get from hong kong to Foshan, and how much will it cost.

thank you

Hi, all of them are right that there are three methods for you travel to Foshan from HK.
1st: take the direct train from HK Hung Hom Station to Foshan Railway Station. The fare is HK$210 per adult.
2nd: take the direct bus from downtown Hong Kong to Foshan. The fare is Hk$100 at least.
3rd: go through the Luohu Cutoms to arrive in Shenzen. Just close to the customs, you could find the Luohu Bus Station, where frequent buses depart to Foshan. The bus fare is RMB90.

Hope this helps!
