About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

I am trying to find out the progress of my daughter's visa application which was sent on 17/7/09. The website states a 4 day turnaround. It is impossible to speak to someone in the embassy as the phone service does not allow this? Help! It there any way I can talk to someone???

You posted the application requirements to the embassy? Actually mail application is unacceptable by the China embassy, and you are easily to lost your documents.
Now, the only way is to get contact with the embassy to clear the thing. Come on!

No I did not sent the documents to the embassy, i sent them to PO Box 12126, George St, Brisbane 4003. I know that they were received as someone phoned me and faxed me an influenza declaration, which I had my daughter sign and it was then faxed back. All I am trying to do is find out if the visa has been processed and find out where her passport is as she will be travelling shortly. Thank you.

That's what my original enquiry was - how do I speak to someone??? The phone numbers listed on the website are only answering machines, as is the option to talk to the operator. I tried 10 times to talk to someone but it's impossible. Is there a number where I can speak to someone???

Yes, you could collect them at HK west kowloon, but only the counter 1-5 support this collection, and you need to pay some extra handling charge of HKD10-30 per ticket.
