About:China Visa

Shahnoza (Tajikistan)
Hi.. I'm tajikistan citizen, I've just completed my studies in India and wanted to visit China. I applied for chinese visa but the agency returned my passport saying that I have to apply in my country. I have all the needed documents: passport, invitation letter, valid residential permit, health certificate.
My question is: Can I apply for tourist (L) visa in India if i'm not indian citizen? I am here on student visa (valid till september 30th). If the answer is no then could you plz tell me the reason why i can not apply from here.

thanks in advance...

You can apply for a visa from the China embassy in Indian, call the embassy directly to confirm this through the following ways:
Tel: 91-11-24675559 (Manned Service between 09:00-12:30, 15:00-17:30 in working days)
