My question was in the direction of having many rainy days at this time of the year. Is this true? DO we have to wear rainy clothes during our travel in Guilin?

Yes, late summer is the rainy season in Guilin. But the rain is tender and short. And Guilin is very beautiful in the rain. You are suggested to bring a raincoat.
