Question

Thanks for the valuable information in this website. If i may ask few questions before departing to Huangshan this month end.1) If i would travel from Shanghai to Tangkou by bus in the morning, and take the cable car on the same day to mountain top, do i have enough time for the sunset?2) Is there any bus from Shanghai to Taiping Telpher stop because i was told that the cable car there is less crowded and the scenery is better (i.e. West Sea Canyon)?Thanks again.

Hello, Mr Song. 1. It seems to have two buses in the morning at Shanghai South Railway Station to Tangkou. One is over 6am and another is 10pm. It needs 5-6 hours from Shanghai to Huangshan, and the cable way may cost 25 minutes. So, suggest you take the earlier one. Shanghai Bus Terminal has bus to Taiping, but it is partly through expressway, which will need more time. 2. The express bus will pass Hangzhou, Tunxi, Tangkou and Taiping. Anyway, bus is available to Taiping. Yes, it is resonable, coz most visitor choose to climb the mountain via Tangkou.
