About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

August 3rd 2009
Good morning.
I am attending the Congress of the International Society of Urology in Shaghai, from October 31st to November 6th, 2009.
I am a specilalist urologist living and working in Mbabane, Swaziland. I am a Dutch national. I already have an invitation letter from the Chinese Medical Association. I suppose I have to travel to Pretoria in order to get a visa. Please let me know what papers to bring, how many days I need to spend in Pretoria and how much the charges will be. Could you send me an application form by email?

yes, you may have to go to the consular office of the China Embassy in Pretoria to apply for the visa.
You need to provide the following documents besides the invitation letter:
a) One completed visa application form with one photo (passport photo) attached.
b) A passport valid for more than six months with blank visa pages.
c) Two-way air tickets and hotel reservation.
If it is your first time to China, you still have to present your 3 months bank-statements.
The visa fees and processing time can be seen on this webpage above.
As for the visa application form, please colltact it from the official website of the China embassy in South Africa below:
