About:China Customs Declaration

Good day,

I will be going to China soon, to work there, and I am taking some items I am not sure about: four fiction books, my external Hard Drive, and Ibuprofen. Are these objects (and medicine) allowed? The Ibuprofen is in the original package, do I need to declare these three? Someone told me my books might cause trouble, but I have no clue why, same with my HD. I am also - of course- taking all the cables fro the computer, drives, and camera and all, but it is all for my personal use, I'm a teacher.

I'd appreciate any help, thank you!

M.C.

Hi, do not worry. These can be take into China without declaration! Your book has nothing to do with China, right?

No the books are completely unrelated, and I asked because I am staying in Japan first and I will of course accumulate also stuff from Japan, what worried me most was my external Hard Drive to tell the truth.

The only Chinese related thing I have is a pocket dictionary :P

Thank you very much!

I am really glad I found someone to ask questions to!

Hi,if the books are unrelated, there is no need to worry. What about you external hardware, is it related with China? Are you still worry that you will meet some problem when taking things of Japan to China? Hi,buddy, do not worry, i can tell you that if the things you take will not threaten the interests of China, it will be ok!

Hi, and once again thank you for your answer.

The external hard drive I use for all the pictures I accumulate in my trips, since I will meet with family and friends in Japan we'll do a picture exchange, for which I need lots of memory space, that's basically it. Nothing about China in it, since this is my first time going there, so I really have nothing about China. Erm I dunno about threatening China with anything of what I am carrying, it's just clothes, and souvenirs... and whatever I need for my computer and camera.

Thank you!

Have a great day!
