About:Shantou Attractions

I would like to visit Nan-ao island to see the place where my ancestor came from. But I only know that they came from "Ao-Tae" (pronounce in Taechew dialect). Could someone please let me know where this place lies on the island of Nan-ao (Nam-or). Thanks in advance.

Hi Mrs Ann,
How did your trip went? I m planning for my second trip to Swatow with my parents. They love the last trip in 2008, so I m doing another one in April 2011. This time I will be adventurous to go away from the Swatow city to visit Nan Ao. If you can share a bit on what to look out for in Nan Ao, it will be great. My parents love to buy "lau hio ng" - the blackish looking preserved citrus fruit. Good for "ker huang" ---lol.
Thanks in advance!!!
