I would like to know whether any long distance air conditioned buses run between Qingdao to Shanghai at night. How long does this journey take. Also pl inform if there are ferry services between Qingdao & Shanghai?

Yes, lots of busses do the overnight trip from Shanghai to Qingdao and all of them have air-condition. Trip takes between 9 and 12 hours, depending on the number of stops along the way. I've taken the 7 pm bus from Shanghai to Qingdao a few times and almost all of them were ok. You can also check if the Spring Airlines has a special deal. I found some flights from Pudong to Qingdao for around 200 RMB.

Oh, I meant the bus from Qingdao to Shanghai. There are many busses going to Shanghai, from the Sifang Busstop and also from the one near the train station.
