About:China Train

Hi, Im staying near Urumqi for a year as I will be teaching English there and I will need to get the t70 train to Beijing every now and again.
I read in a travel book somewhere that there is a weight allowance on the trains and could you tell me if there is room to put fairly large luggage? Im planning on taking a suitcase as I have difficulties with a 60l rucksack.
Thanks
