Then you can apply for a doubel entry tourist visa to China, after the 30 days duration, you can go to Hk for a short time and then go back to mainland China for another 30 days duration.

Is there any sort of partner visa that I can apply for? I will not be working or studying in china and relying on my partner. Does it help if my partner shows his work certificate here, we have documents etc as well showing that we are together, we just wont have a marriage cert until Jan.

Ms.Fleur, there is no partner visa. When you and he get married, you can also apply for Z visa and stay together with him for very long time. Now, you just his fiancee, you can only apply for L (Tourist) visa.
