About:Badaling Great Wall

TIME TRAVEL in Yuan Dynasty?

In the second paragraph it is written that this section was "built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)". I continued to read the text and in the last but one paragraph came across the following: "The first emperor of the Qin Dynasty toured there, Yuan Taizu, the first emperor of Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) passed the Badaling Great Wall, ..."

How could the Yuan emperor pass the Badaling Great Wall if this had only been erected more than 100 years later? Time travel?

Hi, Mr.Markus,

You can read the third para. which talks about the history of Badaling Great Wall. Badaling was built and used as a fortification as early in Qin Dynasty. It is repaired many times in the following dynasties, and the biggest repairation was in Ming Dynasty.

not to be patronising... but the great wall construction started as early as 8th century BC and underwent constructions & repairs continously (as noted by Mr.Coco). Badaling is but one of the numerous stations of the entire wall which at one time (perhaps the warring states) would not have been the continuous wall as we see today.
