Hi. i am planning to visit hong kong from 30 dec.2009 to 5 jan 2010. any advise on what we can do. maybe interesting placec to see? how is the shopping. we also want to stay in a back packers hostell, is that advised. we are on a tight budget. has anyone got comments on the kowloon hostel in hong kong?we are looking for the cheapest way to get from beijing to hong kong. any advice?

Hello Ms, I noticed that this website has a series of articles on places to see and shopping, dining of HK. You could find the list on the left side of this page. In HK, there are lots of hostels, the most famosu one is the Chongqing Dasha located in Tsim Sha Tsui. Do you know mandarine? If yes, you could search some hostels online easily. From Beijing to HK, you could consider flying to Shenzhen firstly and then enter into HK on foot. During winter, the domestic flight will have some very enjoyable discounts.
