Dear China Embassy Representative,My name is Renato Shordon and i am a U.S. citizen living and working in Hanoi. i have a ticket reserved to go to Shanghai on Nov. 30. I would like to stay in Shanghai until Dec. 11, then go to Hong Kong to Dec. 14th or 15th. i realize i don't need a visa for HK. since the flight leaves this Sunday, can i receive a visa in time? i bought a multi-entry visa last year and never used it. i want to request that you consider that in my new application. please let me know the steps and costs and i will have everything ready by Wednesday. thank you, 0904.099137Hi, Mr.Renato Shordon, you need prepare the documents as Ms.Lilian replied in the page, and your valid Vietnamese visa or Vietnemese Residence Permit. Maybe you need provide other documents for your purpose to Shanghai, such as invitation letter, visa notice sheet.

You can apply for the ‘same-day pick-up service' or ‘2-3 working days processing service' by showing your air ticket on Nov.30. Then you can get a visa before departure.
