About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Hello Again.
I contacted you recently re. the 24 hour stop-over I will now have to make in Shanghai as a result of a change of flight time (for the Shanghai - London leg). I'll be flying from Auckland to London via Shanghai. Whilst I live in Switzerland, I have a British (U.K.) passport. Will I still be able to leave the airport for 24 hours? What are my options? Thanks, once again.

Hi, Mr.Jones, Nice to hear your voice again! now I know that you are U.K. Citizens, if you remain in airport in Shanghai for not more than 24 hours, you needn't a visa. However, if you go out of airport in Shanghai or stay in the airport for exceeding 24 hours, you need apply for a Transit Visa before departure.
