Hi
I am a Pakistani native studying in xi'an, china. i have a residency permit of china. i want to visit hongkong by myself not with tourism group. i have planned my trip from shenzhen. but i dont know whether i need a visa or not or only the exit/reentry pass. if i require visa can i get it from xi'an or Shenzhen. and also what are the requirements of the visa if i need it.

You need a visa to enter Hong KOng. Suugest you arrange the entry permit in advance in Xian. Go and ask for detailed in formation at Xian Immigration Office where you handle your residency permit of China. Usually, it needs 5-10 working days to process the permit. Good Luck.
